Our 2017 Grenache from Mendocino is fantastic. Alittle lighter than the 16' and thus great for summer dinners, or for folks not wanting something as heavy as a Cab or Merlot. Grenache, originally from Northern Spain, is a medium red that pairs exceptionally well with many different dishes! This varietal is a slow ripener. Beautiful, fresh, and fruity nose of raspberry, star anise, and strawberry jam. Bright acidity on the palate with notes of plum, kirsch, cinnamon, and all spice. Soft tannin structure with a long savory finish. Pairs great with Baja spiced swordfish tacos, chipotle chicken burritos, and Indian spiced fare.
