2018 is a much earthier, old world style Syrah, mimicking the wines of the Rhone Valley crossed with a spanish twist! Port like style! From our winery estate vineyard directly behind the winery building here in Calistoga. Our Estate Reserve Syrah is a solid, earthy, and heavier, almost port like, intense, and amazingly good with heavier foods like your summer BBQ or winter roasts. Flavors of earthy chocolate, raspberry, almost a slight hint of ruby port on the nose. Our favorite pairing for this vintage would be grass fed western angus. Cheers!
